It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony (Tony) Watson on July 4, 2026, surrounded by his family. Tony was a gentle soul who touched the lives of all who knew him.

Predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Irene Watson (née Doubt).

Beloved husband of Ann Watson (née Thomas), together for 66 years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Stephanie and Lenny, Vanessa and Nicole, and Glynn and Liz. Cherished grandfather of Kevin and Marianne, Andersen, the late Lauren, Michael, Melani and Ethan, Shane and Levi. Adored great-grandfather of Blake, Lucas, Layla, and Wesley.

Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Rosemary and Dale, Sheila and Al, Bill (Father Joseph), and David and Angela.

Tony was a gentle presence whose intelligence and calm strength anchored his family. His career as an electrical engineer was central to his identity. Working across the globe on high-profile projects, including power control systems for hydroelectric dams, computer and electronic systems for the Canadarm, and flight simulators, was a testament to his skill and dedication.

Tony was a true nature lover and outdoorsman. In his younger years, Tony was an accomplished athlete, excelling as a tennis player and skier. He was a ski instructor for the Mont-Tremblant Ski Hawks as well as a scout leader and an avid canoeist. Later in life, his garden became his happy place.

Above all, he was devoted to his family, and that devotion defined the man he was.

An intimate Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
